St. Louis Metro Treatment Center(SLMTC)/New Season, Methadone/Suboxone/Vivitrol Clinic. This is a great resource for those suffering with opioid addiction. They offer Methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). It is the most successful form of treatment when dealing with opioids such as, Heroin, Fentanyl, Vicodin, Oxycodone, Demerol, Dilaudid, etc... They have a great staff that offers one on one counseling sessions & group counseling. There's different types of group sessions like, men's, women's, stimulant, benzo, art & open groups. They offer phase up options that let's you take home some of your doses, you have to comply with each level of phase ups. You have to have clean drug tests, go to groups, one on one sessions and not miss dosings. I absolutely recommend this place. They save lives. If you or a loved one needs help, don't hesitate. Don't let the stigma of MAT deter you from recovery and getting healthy. Recovery is possible.

They have multiple options and the counselors actually care about you listen remember everything if I didn’t come here I would of been dead I’ve been to center for life and that place sucks counseling’s not effective nor do they even know who their clients are they just run the place because it’s state funded but I will pay the money to have good counseling and nurses who respect you. I would recommend this place to any opiate user it will change your life If u do the work

I started going to the clinic in November of 2017, so about 11 months now. Just in that time span, my life has taken a tremendous turn for the better. Before I started taking methadone, I had a very severe fentanyl addiction. I had been to numerous detoxes and inpatients, I tried suboxone, I tried committing myself to mental hosptial several times claiming I was suicidial so I HAD to detox. What people don't get about fentanyl is, the withdrawals are much more intense and drawn out than heroin. When I would complete a three day detox, they would send me off to inpatient when I was just beginning to feel the height of the withdrawal symptoms. The point here I'm trying to make is - I tried. I tried so hard. But I just couldn't beat this demon. No part of me was content being an unemployed junkie, who had to lie, steal, cheat everyday just to get her fix. I had already been to prison twice, jail more times than I can count, and accrued more felonies than I care to admit - all in the name of my addiction. In fact, a large part of me truly wished I just had the guts to just take my own life. I came close so many times, but for some reason the universe still willed me to live. I was always skeptical about taking methadone. In my head, I was just substituting one addiction for another - which may be true, but all I know is my life is so much better and I'm a much more overall happier and functional person since I've started going to the clinic. I don't get 'high' off the methadone per se, and I'm not sticking a needle in my arm several times a day. I went from sleeping on a friend's couch who just didn't have to heart to throw me on the street because my family wanted nothing to do with me, to having my own car, apartment, and a fulltime job, that I was eventually promoted to manager at. My life isn't perfect my any means, but it has vastly improved. It didn't happen overnight - I still had to put the footwork in. But methadone gave me a chance to be a functional member of society. My only gripe is the cost. $17 a day comes out to $500 a month. That is a significant amount of money for anyone unless you come from a welloff family. I don't suggest they give the stuff away, but surely there is a way to make it more affordable?? It's way cheaper than what I was spending on heroin/fentanyl, but I was doing illegal things to support that habit...I'd rather not resort to those things to support this one. I have a friend in Canada who takes methadone, and it doesn't cost him a dime. Or anyone else there who takes it. America is supposedly the greastest country in the world, but we can't take measures to tackling one of the most profound epidemics of our time - the opiate epidemic?? If we were to subsidize methadone for those who don't have insurance, we would in effect be making more available to people who otherwise couldn't afford it. I can barely afford it. The only reason I can is because I work 6 days a week and live in the ghetto. And concludes this review.

The nurses, doctor, counselors and John who over sees it all are great! They're there not because it is there job but because they truly care about each and every patient and want to help SAVE LIVES! It takes very special people to do what they do. They have helped many many people save there lives and now those people are living clean sober functioning lives. Without this clinic many of these people may have ended up dead. Thank you for all you do! Many think its just place that passes out methadone but it offer so much more, alot of different support groups, one on one counseling sessions, doctor onsite to talk too.

Really good place and vary friendly counselors and staff the only thing that kinda sucks is that they do not except any type of insurance not even Medicaid only cash for right now but they say its coming but they do offer great one on one counseling with your counselor pretty much whenever you want and a good variety of groups you can attend n the wait time for dosing is only like 5 or 10 mins plus they offer Subutex if you prefer that over methadone

I had tried everything even methadone once... But this doctor said something to me that changed my life... Just keep coming back, even if you fall off the wagon just keep coming back. And I did. My clean date is 9/15/2013 and I'm now on Suboxone working my way toward vivitrol. These counselors nurses and management are true heros, fighting the opiod epidemic, with the only treatments available, despite the stigma. God bless you stlmtc

Saved my life. If taken as directed and with a little effort on your part, it works better than any other treatment I've ever tried, rehab included

Yes this is a very great place to seek help from heroin and things-the councilors are nice! Most of the other people like the patients that go there are complete trash and they show no respect not only to themselves but to others as well! But luckily you can spot out the stupid dumb ones from a mile away so just stay clear from some of the trash there- but other than that it’s super clean there like I said the councilors are very nice n helpful and the nurses are great:) sometimes there can be a long line to wait in but that’s pretty rare!

I would recommend this place to anyone with an opiate problem. The counselors are awesome, yea its 17$ a day but that's better than 100$ of a dope a day.

the police run license plates in the parking lot

The staff seems to really care about the wellbeing of the patients. It's been the best decision I've ever made to come to this clinic. It truly is a lifesaver for me and many other people.

Good place

The councilors are cool they aren't pushy with you. The locking the doors @ 10;45 even when they are open until 1:30 they should effing dose until then and not letting us in min late you hurt our sobriety and you lose money I guess not that you need it. There are every kind of person there And a bunch of pos Watch your cars!!! No one can freaking drive there. No driving rules apply there. If you dont have insurance your screwed and make sure you bring extra money people always beg for a dollar here 5 there . everyday..... Other than that great place!!!??? Open from 5:15am and close at 1pm but stop dosing at 10:45am wtf else do you have to do with your day? Besides men councilors locking patient women in their offices "accidentally''

Never a too long a wait, even though it cost $17/day, it's better than spending $150/ day on dope... Ready to start me life and function like a regular human being...

I hate waking up so damn early on the weekends. Center for life is better in many different ways but if u show up 1 minute late Center for life won't let u dose . STL METRO WILL LET U IN THE DOOR PAST CLOSING TIME .... But only if there is still people in line dosing... Also STL metro dosent lower ur dose if u don't wanna go ta groups so that's chillen but you have to be up at metro hella early cause during the week dosing is over at like 10:45 am , Center for life solutions is a couple miles more that u gotta drive but they got dosing hours all the way up until 5:30 pm. But every month u have to see ur Counselor for an hour twice a month and u gotta attend group twice a month or Center for life will detox u 1 mg a day until u catch up on ur groups and Counselor sessions

This facility let's you get in without messing around with a waiting list or a bunch of rules. Weekend and holiday hours are short, and the wait in line on those days can be up to 30mins. Right now the cost is $16/day for methadone. The counselors have always given off good vibes. The nurses and clients, however, seem to tolerate each other at best. The parking lot and the line (when there is one) to the dosing window can be a zoo of ignorance and dysfunction, so tune that part out as much as possible.
